Safeway Farm Country features the 4-H Festival, Farmer's Field and Stables, Okanagan Apple Orchard and the ever popular Mooternity Nursery.

In addition to being the exclusive sponsor of Safeway Farm Country, Safeway is also the exclusive retail outlet for the Playland All Day Ride Passports. The Passports are sold during the Park Season (prior to the opening of the Fair), during the Fair and until Playland closes in mid-October.

Variety Club

Variety Club of BC is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to raising funds to support BC's children with special needs. Since 1965, Variety Club of BC has raised over $90 million through its fundraising events with the largest event being the annual "Show of Hearts" telethon, during Valentine's Day weekend, which raised a record breaking total of over $7 million in 2003.

Safeway is proud to partner with Variety Club's fundraising efforts through the sale of gold hearts at all BC stores, which helps to raise more than $100 million world-wide. In addition, Safeway is a participating retailer in Variety Club's Cash for Kids Coupon Book and features redeemable coupons for Safeway Select products.

Penticton Peach Festival

For the past 55 years, Penticton has hosted the Penticton Peach Festival, the largest summer festival in the Okanagan Valley. This annual festival attracts over 70,000 spectators and features activities for the entire family, which include fireworks, parade, entertainment and peach pie contests.

Celebration of Trees

Delta Community Hospice Foundation is the base for the Delta Hospice Society, which provides support and information to individuals or families coping with a life-threatening illness. Care focuses on comfort and support, and encompasses physical aspects of the illness as well as emotional and spiritual concerns. Safeway supports the Delta Community Hospice Foundation by sponsoring the "Celebration of Trees", a fundraising event that raises more than $48,000. Funds from this event support individuals and families with palliative and bereavement services offered by trained hospice horker volunteers of the Delta Hospice Society along with its professional counselling service and wide variety of resources.

Candlelight Parade

Safeway is a proud participant in Mission's Candlelight Parade. This family event, hosted by the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce, invites local companies, schools and organizations to share Christmas festivities with the community. Safeway continues to bring cheer and celebration to this annual parade with its colourfully decorated 50-foot trailer, joyful staff and jovial Santa Claus.

Victorian Christmas Festival

This annual festival in the Greater Victoria area encompasses all major Christmas related events with a Victorian theme. From costumed Town Criers and carolers to festive harbour lights, this event is a major family attraction.

Safeway is the title sponsor of the Heritage Tours. Through Safeway Heritage Tours, participants can enjoy Victoria’s historic tourist sites with an experienced narrator who shares enlightening stories of Old Christmases in Victoria.

Powell River Sea Fair

Each year, the Powell River Visitor’s Bureau organizes the annual Sea Fair Festival to celebrate Powell River's connection to the sea and community spirit. This three-day event focuses on fun for the entire family with amusement rides, games, food booths and entertainment.

In addition to providing complimentary food and refreshments for Kids’ Day, Safeway is honoured to support the Sea Fair volunteers who make this festival a memorable community event.

Christmas at Canada Place

For the past 15 years, Christmas at Canada Place has been a Vancouver tradition for the entire family. Visitors, of all ages, enjoy seeing the holiday window displays, riding the miniature train, strolling the Avenue of Trees and visiting with Santa Claus.

Richmond Tall Ships

In August 2002, Richmond hosted some of the most spectacular ships during the Richmond Tall Ships. This five day event, which attracted over 400,000 spectators, was the first such gathering of Tall Ships on the West Coast of Canada in over 100 years. Safeway was a proud supporter of this unique maritime-themed arts and cultural festival, with events for the entire family.
