Since the inception of the Because We Care program in 1998, Safeway has made more than $20 million in contributions to areas of community importance, including families and youth, health, neighbourhood-based causes, and local food banks.
Our goal is not only to make financial commitments, but also to heighten the profile of the many important issues and causes we support. And for nearly 75 years, we've been able to bring smiles of all sizes to the faces of families across Western Canada.
