Boo at the Zoo

Each October, Safeway partners with the Zoological Society of Manitoba as title sponsor of the Safeway Boo at the Zoo extravaganza. This "howl" of an event attracts thousands of families for some spooking and family fun. As the exclusive ticket outlet, Safeway also helps to aggressively promote this event by decorating each store in a Halloween theme. All proceeds from this event help support the efforts of the Zoological Society of Manitoba.

Red River Exhibition

This annual first burst of summer is a long-time tradition for both Safeway and the community. The Red River Ex, as it is known by the locals, features agriculture and entertainment displays in conjunction with a large carnival. Safeway provides its customers with the opportunity to purchase tickets and ride passes at excellent discount rates. At the event, Safeway Familyland provides young children and their parents with an opportunity to enjoy all the excitement of the Ex on a more junior level.
