THUMB & AMERICAN AIRLINES AADVANTAGE®
PROGRAM
Exclusively for Tom Thumb Reward Card Members - earn American
Airlines AAdvantage miles every time you use
your Tom Thumb Club Card at participating
Tom Thumb, Flagship Tom Thumb or Simon David
stores, starting January 1, 1998 through December
31, 2007. The program has changed effective July 1, 2004. The below terms and conditions reflect the
current program.
Earn 250 miles on your AAdvantage account every time you
spend $250 in eligible purchases through December
31, 2007 at participating stores. Restricted
or excluded items will not be eligible toward
spending accumulation totals. All dollar amounts
are rounded down.
If you are a Tom
Thumb Reward Card member and
an AAdvantage member,
sign up at a participating Tom Thumb,
Flagship Tom Thumb or Simon David store. Complete a Tom Thumb Reward Card application
form. To be eligible, you must submit a fully
completed and accurate application, even if
you are already a Tom Thumb Reward Card member.
You will want to enter your existing
Reward Card number under Changes to Existing
Card Account, check the box Add
AAdvantage Account Number and complete
Section 1.
You will need your AAdvantage account
number to enter on the application for enrollment
in the program.
Or you can sign up on line at www.frequentbuyermiles.com/tomthumb/,
you will need both your Tom Thumb Reward number
and your AAdvantage number.
If you do not remember your Tom Thumb
Reward Card number call customer care at 1-877-723-3929.
If you are a Tom
Thumb Reward Card member, but
not currently an AAdvantage member, obtain an AAdvantage account
number at the American Airlines AAdvantage
Web site (www.aa.com) or call 1-800-433-7300. Then complete the Tom Thumb Reward Card application
at your local store. You will want to enter
your existing Reward Card number under Changes
to Existing Card Account, check the box Add AAdvantage Account Number and complete
Section 1. You will need your AAdvantage account
number to enter on the application for enrollment
in the program. Or enroll online at www.frequentbuyermiles.com/tomthumb/
you will need both your Tom Thumb Reward number
and your AAdvantage number.
If you are not
a Tom Thumb Reward Card member, but
are an AAdvantage member, complete a Tom Thumb Reward Card
application, and enter your Mileage Plan account
number in the space provided under Section
1 of your application. Turn in your completed Reward Card application at your local Tom
Thumb, Flagship Tom Thumb or Simon David store
making sure your information is current.
If you are neither
a Tom Thumb Reward Card member nor
an AAdvantage member, you will need to first enroll in the AAdvantage
program at the American Airlines AAdvantageWeb
site (www.aa.com). Then complete a Tom Thumb Reward Card application and enter your
new AAdvantage account number in the space
provided under section 1. Turn in your completed
Reward Card application to your local Tom
Thumb store, making sure your information
is current.
For this promotion, AAdvantage miles are accumulated on a
per household basis (maximum of 10 people
to a household). As a result, all AAdvantage
miles earned through this promotion will be
credited to a single AAdvantage account number
designated in Tom Thumb records.
How to Qualify: Every time a Reward Card member uses a Tom Thumb Reward
Card at a participating store, through December
31, 2007, the Reward Card member's household
(see above) accumulates dollars toward earning
AAdvantage miles. For every $250 spent on
eligible purchases, the Reward Card member’s
household earns 250 AAdvantage miles. Excluded
items are not eligible toward spending accumulation
totals. Accumulations
exclude purchases of Liquor, Tobacco, US Postage
Stamps, Fluid Milk, Bus/Commuter Passes, Fishing/Game
Licenses, Ski Tickets, Lottery Tickets, Gift
Certificate sales, Pharmacy prescriptions,
Tom Thumb Savings, Tom Thumb, Flagship Tom
Thumb, Simon David Coupons, and Sales Tax.
Accumulated dollar amounts for eligible purchases will print
on the Reward Card member's receipt tape.
When the accumulated total reaches $250, the
award message will indicate that 250 AAdvantage
miles have been earned. From the date of application,
Reward Card members should allow at least
4-6 weeks for their register receipt tapes
to reflect dollars accumulated toward bonus
mile awards. For each household applying after
January 1, 1998, dollars from eligible transactions
will be accrued from the date of application,
provided that the applications are fully completed,
accurate, and submitted in accordance with
these rules. In no event will transactions
occurring before January 1, 1998 count toward
earning AAdvantage miles.
AAdvantage miles are earned in increments of 250 miles with
a spending level of $250 of eligible purchases.
If a Reward Card member's eligible spending
does not reach $250 during the promotional
period, no miles will be earned or awarded.
All earned AAdvantage mile award totals will
be transferred on a regular basis to American
Airlines AAdvantage by Tom Thumb through December
31, 2007. All accumulated miles will be officially
reported to AAdvantage members by American
Airlines AAdvantage. Please allow 4-6 weeks
for miles to be posted by American Airlines.
Store register receipt tapes may not fully
reflect a Reward Card member’s accumulated
dollar amounts if a household member shops
in multiple participating Tom Thumb/Randalls
Divisions. All inquiries about AAdvantage
accounts and actual account balances should
be directed to the AAdvantage Service Center
at 1-800-433-7300 or the American Airlines
AAdvantage Web site at www.aa.com.
All AAdvantage miles earned and awards issued, and the use
of either, are in accordance with the terms
and conditions of the American Airlines AAdvantage
program. Not valid with any other offers. Tom Thumb and its affiliates are not responsible
for any airline travel, or for lost, late,
damaged, delayed, destroyed, misdirected,
incomplete, illegible or postage due applications
or mail, or Tom Thumb Reward Cards scanned
incorrectly, or scanner/computer failures
or malfunctions of any kind, or human or technical
errors or failures in the accumulation of
dollars or miles, or in the transmission or
receipt of applications.
Tom Thumb reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to
cancel this promotion if it becomes technically
corrupted such that it cannot be conducted
as originally planned, and to alter or change
the excluded items at any time and without
individual notice to Reward Card members.
Tom Thumb also reserves the right to verify
the eligibility of purchases and the household
status of purchasers (such that accumulations
may be limited to members of a group of individuals
who are living as one economic unit and sharing
living expenses).
Tom Thumb and American Airlines AAdvantage
each reserve the right to terminate or suspend
accumulations or membership due to fraud or
misuse.
Any unspecified expenses related to acceptance/use of AAdvantage
miles are solely the Tom Thumb Reward card
member's responsibility.
Offer valid only at participating Tom Thumb, Flagship Tom
Thumb, or Simon David stores from January
1, 1998 through December 31, 2007.
