Reason/Purpose for Policy

Safeway is committed to making reasonable modifications to its policies, practices or procedures so that persons with disabilities can have access to our goods and services. This includes making functionality and content on Safeway's eCommerce Webpages accessible to its customers with visual impairments.

Accessibility Standard

Safeway's eCommerce Webpages - which include its online grocery delivery website (shop.safeway.com), its mobile optimized webpages, and related pages on its main website (safeway.com) - are designed to substantially comply with the standard set forth in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Conformance Level AA Success Criteria to the extent the standard addresses features or design elements used on the website.

Safeway is also committed to integrating accessibility into Safeway eCommerce Webpages as part of its ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of its eCommerce Webpages.

Safeway further urges third party vendors providing content on its eCommerce Webpages to adhere to WCAG 2.0 Level AA and Safeway considers compliance with this standard when selecting third party vendors.
